Volunteer Support

Volunteers are special people who are highly valued by Bethany Christian Care.

Whether large or small, your contribution will improve the lot of our residents and be much appreciated.

We seek to match volunteers’ interests and talents to particular areas of activity or need. Tasks in which volunteer input is invaluable include:

• Bus driving
• Providing extra stimulation for residents (eg conversation, reminiscing, reading, singing, music)
• Sewing/ mending
• Assisting activities, maintenance or office staff.

We’d also love to hear from Christians whom God has given a particular gifting in the area of pastoral/ spiritual support, vital because of loneliness, illness, depression and spiritual need among residents, particularly those of our care facilities.

To join our organisation’s dedicated band of volunteers, please ask us for an application form.  By completing this form, you will give us an understanding of the level and nature of the help you are able to provide.  We take care of Commonwealth prescribed “police check” requirements and costs.
