The Plains Retirement Village (Eight Mile Plains)
Residential Aged Care Facility (108 beds including 3 Respite places)
The greatest single asset of the aged care facility at The Plains is its team of dedicated care and support staff. Quality of resident care, delivered the “Bethany” way with love and compassion, is what distinguishes us as a provider of residential aged care.
The Plains, only completed in mid-2006, is a state-of-the-art, eminently home-like facility with a very high standard of finish and amenity. In fact, in terms of building design, accommodation and innovation, it was lauded, at its opening in 2006, as one of the best aged care facilities in Australia.
The aged care facility at The Plains provides:
- “High” and “Low” Care
- Spacious single rooms with individual ensuites
- Eight double rooms (suitable for couples)
- Air-conditioning
- Secure dementia house with its own external courtyard
- Computerised care (iCare) and medication management (Rx-Right) systems, electronic security, and wireless intra-facility communication (interfaced with nurse call system), MATV system (allowing village events and in-house programs to be beamed to residents), and VoIP telephony/ internet (accessible by residents)
- Eight interlinked “houses”, each with its own Bible-derived name (prefixed by “Beth” – Hebrew for “House”), kitchen, dining room, lounge, family room, and activities space.
The Plains has full three-year Accreditation.

Janoah Gardens (Manly West)
Residential Aged Care Facility (36 beds)
Having opened in December 2009, and catering for low and high care residents, Janoah Gardens aged care facility is tasteful, functional and fully-equipped, yet intimate and homely because of its smaller size.
The facility consists of two double rooms (ideal for couples), and 32 single rooms of which 16 are individually-ensuited. All rooms are air-conditioned.
Janoah Gardens aged care facility enjoys an excellent reputation in the bayside area, backed-up by full three-year Accreditation by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.

Beth Eden Riverside Village (Graceville)
Residential Aged Care Facility (61 beds including 1 Respite place)
Beth Eden Riverside Village has a warm, “family” atmosphere, the product of deliberate efforts to make the facility as home-like as possible. There is an almost “boutique” feel to the facility, with its leafy, riverside location and elegant, 1888, heritage-listed centrepiece called “Verney House”.
The fruits of ongoing upgrading are already evident, particularly in “Verney House”, much of which has been restored to its former glory.
Besides its ideal size – not too big and not too small, Beth Eden is blessed with:
- a great team of dedicated, caring staff
- secure dementia unit
- convenient location (just 600 metres from Graceville Railway Station)
- Full three-year Accreditation by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.

RESPITE
What is respite? This very popular and useful Bethany Christian Care service involves the provision of short term residential care for those normally tended in their own home or by relatives.
Weary carers or those taking holidays are urged to take advantage of this service. We would be glad to admit your loved one into respite care at either The Plains or Beth Eden.
