In-Person Visiting and Outings with Residents

The Queensland Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeanette Young, announced at 10am on 29 July that "I have asked that all the aged care facilities in the Metro South area be closed to visitors" (source: ABC News).

As a result, our 3 aged care facilities are closed to in-person visitors, effective immediately. All outings with aged care residents are also cancelled until further notice.

We are monitoring this situation closely, and are sending updates to all residents and their representatives. This information is also available on our news page.

Virtual Visiting

"Virtual visiting" is available to all aged care residents to stay in touch with friends and family. Residents can book a time slot to have access to everything needed to "virtually visit" friends and family - a tablet with Wi-Fi and Skype or Zoom.
